If you regularly drive around town making trips to the grocery, food market, running errands, etc., it really doesn’t make much sense to drive around in a giant car. It’s quite wasteful. So, what if you could ditch your car or gasoline-powered motorbike for something leaner but efficient?
That’s what the GenZe 2.0 Electric Scooter is all about. It’s a moped meaning you don’t have to comply with stringent licensing requirements to use it. Besides that, it comes with a relatively powerful electric engine making it ideal for carrying one person and a bit of luggage without compromising on safety.

What’s The GenZe 2.0 Battery Like?
First off, we’d like to clarify that this isn’t a hot rod. So, you’re better off using it for personal transportation in areas that aren’t congested. The scooter easily attains its 30mph top speed all thanks to its powerful motor – and as you know, behind a good motor is a great battery.
This scooter from GenZe packs a 52 volt, 1.6-kilowatt-hour battery. The battery is just good enough for an uninterrupted riding experience of 30 miles. Want to cover longer distances? All you need to do is switch to the Eco Mode which adds around 4 miles to the rated range. Of course, the Eco Mode works at the expense of acceleration and power.
The battery is quite large in size but easily removable. That’s in addition to the fact that it comes with an easy-to-use strap which makes it easy to carry around (its estimated 30-pound weight notwithstanding). What’s more? It has a built-in charge and so you don’t really need to worry about lugging a charge around. A simple electric cord is all that’s needed.
Unlike gasoline-powered scooters that run as soon as you top up their fuel tanks, electric ones can only run when their batteries are recharged. And to keep your battery functioning optimally for longer, it’s important to give it a full charge before using it.
So, with the GenZe 2.0, the battery recharge time is at three and a half hours. It’s important to note that if the battery is fully drained, you may need to recharge it for longer. But normally, the intuitive user-interface of this particular scooter lets you know when your battery is running low, just in time, so you can plan for a proper recharge.
Comparing The S-Model vs The F-model
The S version of this scooter is the cheaper variety as it only provides you with the basics. By that, we mean just the scooter plus a bit of storage.
Its f-Model sibling goes for 600 bucks more and that’s because it provides you with a dedicated rear cargo box which enables you to carry even more luggage. This cargo box stands out with its hard locking storage features.
Also, unlike its s-model counterpart, the f-model presents you with an electronically locking kickstand. This is an important feature for added balance and security. You, however, don’t really need this feature especially if you rarely transport luggage.
To this end, we can say that the f-model of this electric scooter is the heavier-duty version of the GenZe bikes. That said, you really don’t need to pay a premium for a larger storage compartment and locking kickstand if all you’re planning to use it for is a bit of grocery shopping.
We’d simply describe this as a simple electric moped scooter that’s loaded with lots of tech though limited to a top speed of 30mph. It’s really fun to use. We particularly like its cushy seat and comfortable suspension.
That said, we would have loved it even more if they’d added an extra 10mph to the top speed limit. By the look of things, this machine’s motor is capable of providing even more torque. In our view, riding it at below 30 mph is serious underuse of its vast potential.
This is a beautiful, tech-advanced electric scooter. It has got enough power to get you out of potentially dangerous situations and has all the features and functionalities needed for smooth everyday rides. At its price, we think that the GenZe 2.0 Electric Scooter is a fair deal.
